Mike 713: When we last saw The Joker he just been shot in the face by a GCPD cop in a Batman costume and dumped in a dumpster like so much garbage.A few months later we find that mr.J’s minions are being killed while the man himself is recovering from his wounds.We have in this issue the symbolic death of the Joker that we all know and perhaps the offical introduction of the Arkham Asylum Joker of Morisson and McKean.

Art:B+ I liked it but wish that it was McKean doing this first chapter.

Writing:A+ Grant Morrison shows us just how twisted the Joker really is perhaps he’s worse due to the trama of his injuries.

S for arrested heroes. This issue ahd the big brawl between the anti-registration heores and the pro-registration heroes. All the build up led to non-stop action in this issue. Hercules used Clor’s hammer and caved in his robotic skull with it. The Vision nullified Iron Man’s armor allowing Cap to deliver a beat down. Taskmaster was going to shoot Sue Storm but Reed saved Sue and got shot instead. The battle neded when Cap realized that they weren’t fighting for the people anymore. They were only fighting just to fight. Cap orders his side to stand down and allows himself to be arrested. The Punisher picks up Cap’s mask after the battle. The series ends with Tony Stark being appointed the new director of S.H.I.E.L.D. (more…)

S for your immortal monkey soul!!! In this issue, Aaron Stack gets stabby-stabby from Number None who’s really a baby M.O.D.O.K., and then Devil Dinosaur shows up in all his sexiness and has a mad orgy of a fight with the Nextwave squad with them victorious with Tabitha Boomy Boom getting the final blow.

Great way to end the series. The baby M.O.D.O.K. was priceless. Having Devil Dinosaur as the mastermind was genius as well. Anything you want to add, Number Nothing? (more…)

You know, I don’t care what anyone says, I like Cyclone’s costume. And no, it’s not because she appears to be pantiless on the cover. So in this issue we get gory, bloody, flesh rending fight scenes, the costumed debut of two heroes and the further progression of a third’s origin, and the return of Sandman. And, man, what an entrance. The various Nazi villains make for great adversaries, especially Captain Nazi, who I’ve had a soft spot for since reading the Shazam Family Archives. (more…)

I had an opportunity to view this film this morning, so I naturally took that opportunity. Now, granted, I came into this expecting a huge stinker, as the commercials and trailers were not exactly “exciting”. Well, coming out, my expectations were filled.
