After an exciting regular season and the Wildcard Round we've reached
the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs. Even though my favorite team,
the Dolphins, have been eliminated, I plan on enjoying the rest of
season. That means analyzing the match-ups and making predictions.

Now that the post-season is over, its time for the 1st
annual Statnutties! The Statnutties consist of 4 awards: MVP, Player of the
Year, Rookie of the Year, and Pitcher of the Year.

Concerning Offense and the Top 10 Teams
Before we get into the new ranking I'd like to take a second
to talk about the differences between the offenses in the Big 12 and SEC. It's common knowledge that the offenses in
the Big 12 are head and shoulders above those in most of the other conferences,
and in certain areas they probably are, but if you take a look at the numbers
some interesting trends start to emerge and the supposed gap between the two
conferences closes a bit.

Here is the second, a preview of the National League Championship Series between the Dodgers and Phillies, going position by position.

Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Baseball. Over the 2008 season
we've seen some remarkable things. It's time to give them some
recognition.

It's taken 6 weeks but it looks as though the storyline of
the year is going to be whether the offensively minded Big 12 or the
defensively minded SEC is the true power conference. Oklahoma, Oklahoma St, Missouri, Texas, and
Texas Tech are putting up numbers that the arena league would envy. LSU, Alabama, Kentucky, Georgia and Auburn
boast the kind of fast, hard hitting defenses that teams hate the face. Something has to give, right?

With the conclusion of the 2008
baseball season, there are lot of things
I could talk about. The playoffs, a NLCS preview, even a look into the
offseason. Instead, I'd rather do something that takes a bit more effort, but
might be an interesting read.
