Men in Black 3 Coming from Tropic Thunder Screenwriter!

Not Comics News

Columbia Pictures has green lighted a sequel to the franchise that hasn't seen a new installment in seven years.

According to Variety , the new film will utilize the screenwriting talents of Etan Cohen, the writer behind the hit comedy Tropic Thunder. The studio has not yet released any details on the direction of the movie. In addition, there is currently no official deal in place for the franchise stars Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith to return, though it is unlikely that Columbia would green light the movie without the involvement of the duo.

Men in Black was, at one time, Columbia's highest grossing motion picture, taking the title from Ghostbusters and being beaten later on by Spider-Man. The movies, of course, are based on the comic book series by Lowell Cunningham
