Keep forgetting to say this every time I realise it...the mobile skin doesn't give any indication of whether we have received any PM's or not anymore.

I have to manually go into the CP -> Private Messages and actually click into the Inbox to make it even show that there's a new message in there. I think before one of the forum updates it appeared in the site header as "New Message(s)" or something.

I kinda feel like a dick when I browse the site through my phone away from home and then get home sometimes to see I had a message hours ago while I was active on the board, makes it seem like I couldn't be bothered replying while posting away in other threads.

IT shows them on the forum index, but not the other pages. I can change it.

Cool, I hardly use the index. I usually just go to the "your posts" link to bring up threads I've replied in and then use the newsstand/asylum links in the site header to bounce between sections.
