Chicago Con

Postby Anonymous62 » Sat Aug 11, 2012 12:42 am

I searched and searched, but can't find the topic. Here's a very brief description of my first day. I had to work Thursday, but my family got a lot of prints for me. I had a great experience with George Perez today (Greg Horn was also very nice and autographed all our stuff). I didn't know you were supposed to buy a package and get a number to get a sketch by George. His table was empty so I just walked up and starting talking comics and The Dark Knight Rises with him. He agreed with me that the movie was Miller's Dark Knight and not Batman. I'd spent all my $ on prints for Sean except $10. He sold me a print for $10, autographed it, and later when my family came with the camera, he quickly ran about 40 feet around some tables in order for Sean and I to get our picture taken with him. All for $10! What a nice guy. It made my Con. We also saw William Shatner, Avery Brooks, and Scott Bakula at the Captains Galley. Tomorrow we're going to see Bruce Campbell.

I didn't go today due to me going to Gen Con next week. One of my friend's did. He'll be walking around tomorrow wearing a sign that says, "Who is Jon Snow's father?"
