Oh I would like to see this.

Before Kamen Rider Fourze ends this August, a special stage show was held at Tokyo Dome City entitled “Kamen Rider Premier Stage Show ~The Large Cosmic War is Here!~”. The show will continue until August 19th.

Present in the stage show are Kamen Riders No.1, No.2, V3, Riderman, X, Amazon, Stronger, and OOO. The event also tells the story of previous riders leading to Kamen Rider Fourze.

A special stage with about 36 meters in length was able to accommodate motorcycles stunts, was stood for the first time, with wire-action sequences. A video projection with a huge number of rider illuminated on the backdrop to show the franchise's history.

Sweet. I watched some of that stuff back then. It would be nice to see it revived like Kamen Rider.
"Why are you pointing your screwdrivers like that? They're scientific instruments, not water pistols."
"Oh, the pointing again! They're screwdrivers! What are you going to do? Assemble a cabinet at them?"
"Are you capable of speaking without flapping your hands about?"
""Timey" what? "Timey wimey"?"

I think it was Gavan and Sharivan. I've a friend who was big into toku back then, still into it these days but more busy with life, so he may like to see this too.

I liked the costumes and the sort of Green Lanternish concept.

I think Gokaiger vs Gavan came out late last year or early this. I never watched Gavan but it was fun and you can tell it had a lot of fan tidbits in it.

Why would I be happy with that?

Not some hottie, not some cat themed Kamen Rider... :smt102

OH! The donut angle and my being Canadian... It's true, I like donuts almost as much as cookies.

Eastwood's Unforgiven Remade as Samurai Film

Warner Japan plans to remake the Oscar-winning Western Unforgiven as a samurai period film. The film, scheduled to begin shooting in September, casts Ken Watanabe (The Last Samurai, Memoirs of a Geisha, Letters from Iwo Jima) as the lead. Clint Eastwood directed the 1992 original and played a retired gunman in 1880s Wild West who takes one last job. The Yurusarezaru-mono remake will also take place in 1880s, except in Hokkaido where Watanabe plays a notorious samurai with a native Ainu wife.

The film also stars Akira Emoto (Ace Attorney, Villain, Onmyoji) and Koichi Sato (Sukiyaki Western Django, When the Last Sword is Drawn, Gonin).

The film is helmed by award-winning director Sang-il Lee. Lee won best director and screenplay at the Japanese Academy Awards in 2007 for his film Hula Girls and was nominated again in 2011 for Villain. Akira Emoto won in 2011 for his supporting role in the film. Eastwood himself starred early in his career in A Fistful of Dollars, Sergio Leone's Western remake of Akira Kurosawa's Yojimbo.
