Stevie's Choice: The Decision That Will Change the Ultimate Universe Forever

OMFG Captain America's decision will change everything forever!!!11 FOREVER! Marvel means it this time!!!

Marvel has sent out the following press release, teasing an epic, world-shattering decision to be made by Ultimate Captain America as the Divided We Fall storyling running in Ultimate Comics Ultimates comes to a close and United We Stand kicks off. Upon reading of these claims, The Outhouse was intially skeptical, as the comic book industry can sometimes be just a little bit overzealous in claiming that the latest super-mega-event will change everything we've ever known about comic books for ever and ever. However, after reaching out to them for comment, Marvel assured us that this time, they really, really mean it. Honest to God.

"We really, really mean it this time," said Tom Brevoort, a Marvel editor who we don't make up quotes from as frequently as others, making him ideal for use in this article. "Pinky swear."

For those that still doubt the veracity of Marvel's claims, this reporter directs you to the title of the comic, which features the word "Ultimate" not once but twice, which should be all the proof you need that this is more than hyperbole.

Captain America will make his universe-altering decision in either Ultimate Comics Ultimates #15 or #16 - the press release is sort of vague about it. Both ship in September.

So, is it President Steve, or Steve Rodgers, Director of Shield? Either is pretty plausible. Mentallo is pretty much cannon fodder, I think we know that.

I've never seen a book fall off as quickly as Ultimates did once Hickman left. Literally the very next issue was unreadable. And the art... My god, I haven't seen such shit on a big 2 book since Igor Kordey.

Ultimate Spider-Man is still awesome, though.

THEY DOSED THE HULK WITH GIANT-MAN SERUM was better than anything Hickman did on The Ultimates.
