I know it's early today, but... It's back!

"Seed"
With the world growing increasingly more dangerous and Lori's pregnancy advancing, Rick discovers a potential safe haven. But first he must secure the premises, pushing his group to its limit.

Last season's overall score: 8.03

However, it was really a tale of two seasons, as the first half.. the last of the Darabont era, only scored a 7.42, while the second half of the season finished strong with an 8.64 under the new showrunners.

Really excited about the Governor.

Heard they're going a slightly different route with him, though.. supposedly he starts out more normal, and will progressively get more and more demented throughout the season.

They did say that we will see things even more twisted than in the comics this season, which is intriguing if true regarding the Governor.

Slightly apprehensive about this. What I like about the Governor is that he's just a massive cunt from the second we meet him.

I'm ok with it. Giving characters more depth is never a bad thing. As long as he still eventually becomes the twisted fuck we know, which all indication is that he will.. I'm good.

Yeah I am glad they are taking certain liberties with the changes they make to the show. It would still be a great show if it was just straight word for word panel for panel from the comics, but I don't think I would enjoy it as much as I do with the changes they have made.

Yeah, so far the changes have been for the better. I liked the slow unraveling of Shane, as opposed to the quick kill in the comics.

I dunno about this. I think some times it is.

We'll see, though.

Some of them have been better, others (like spending way the heck too long on the farm) were such poor decisions they almost killed the show.

I think TV is different from comics in that regard, though. In the comics, you could just say "yeah, he's just evil" and that's that. They mentioned he wasn't always like that, but that's the extent of it.

You can do far more in the show, where you're not restrained by 22 pages of content. So seeing HOW he became such a twisted cunt is interesting to me.

Killed the show how? It's gotten more and more popular every week last season it seems like.

I do agree it started off slow, but I have no major problems with the season. The second half was basically all awesome, which leads me to believe Darabont was the problem with the creative team from the get go.

Darabont wanted an entire episode dedicated to the soldier in the tank in the pilot episode. His backstory. :?

I said 'nearly.' It improved significantly after that. I agree about Darabont.

The show will be available in Perú two days later. I hate the delay but well, what can I do anyway?
