EW has provided the Internet with the first picture of Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin. Kingsley will appear as the villain in the upcoming Iron Man 3 film. Check out his beard below.

The plot is unknown at this time. Rumor has it Tony Stark/Iron Man will head to China to face his toughest opponent, Mandarin.

Filming began on May 23, 2012 and it was shot primarily in North Carolina, with additional filming scheduled to take place in Florida and China.

Iron Man 3, which is similarly a U.S.-China co-production. Except that with Iron Man 3, it could be a more fundamental reworking of the film for Chinese audiences. That's the speculation, anyway.

At least it's not as ridiculous as when he was The Hood.

Somehow they've muddled up his character to avoid making the Chinese upset about him being a stereotype. He probably is some sort of kingpin in China called that but not Chinese.
