Today Batman L'il Gotham: Halloween hits digitally, with yet another trick DC Comics has played on the Stephanie Brown fanbase.
As reported yesterday, Batman:L'il Gotham was rumored to feature the first comic book appearance of "toxic" characters Stephanie Brown and Cassandra Cain in over a year. Seemlingly confirming the rumors, over at Bleeding Cool, a preview page revealed a character in the story dressed as the Stephanie Brown Batgirl:
Alas, even this minor appearance was too good to be true. Instead of giving the fanbase a treat, DC has pulled off yet another trick on Stephanie Brown fans. Here's the official page:
As you can see, the person, who's hair was originally blonde, dressed as Stephanie Brown in the preview is suddenly raven haired. On the plus side, I guess it beats her not being replaced by Barbara Gordon for a third straight time. Still, this reporter does find it a bit odd that DC is going to such great lengths just to troll a fanbase.
We reached out to Dan Didio for comment, but he laughed mirthily, and began freestyling at us. We have obtained exclusive video of the freestyle, embedded below:
Alas, I hate to say this Zechs, but that is a red head in the first picture. I had to save the thing and color check it in GIMP but even the lightest color comes up well in the red/ orange section.

Blondes are usually more... blonde.
And not only that, but it's kids in Halloween costumes so it doesn't matter if she was blonde or not.

Where's the conspiracy theory for that head?
No one dares to question the glory of Darkseid and any who dare gawk at his knees.
