NBCUniversal: All-Star Benefit 'Coming Together'

Tonight Matt Lauer hosts Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together LIVE @ 8p across the networks of NBCUniversal to benefit The American Red Cross.

OH! Entertainment encourages readers to watch tonight's LIVE All-Star NBCUniversal benefit event, Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together. The one-hour 8pm broadcast is the brainchild of Today Show host Matt Lauer who will host the disaster relief telethon live from 30 Rock in NYC. Currently scheduled to perform are musical heavyweights Billy Joel, Sting, Aerosmith, Christina Aguilera (NBC's The Voice), Bon Jovi, and, the first act booked for the event Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Other celebs in attendance include Jon Stewart, Kevin Bacon, James Gandolfini, Jimmy Fallon (NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”) and Tina Fey (NBC's 30 Rock), to name just a few.

NBC, E!, Syfy, USA, G4, Style, Bravo, CNBC, MSNBC and HBO are all onboard to broadcast the show, and, will be LIVE streaming it for the web. Read more about the benefit in these stories from The Hollywood Reporter here and here. Funds raised will go towards the Hurricane Sandy efforts of The American Red Cross. Show your support for the storm-ravaged East Coast by tuning in to Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together on one of the networks listed above and by donating much needed money tonight @ 8PM?

The American Red Cross' response to Sandy is very large and will be very costly, affecting a massive area spanning much of the eastern half of the country. Financial donations help The American Red Cross provide shelter, food, emotional support and other assistance to those affected by disasters like Hurricane Sandy. To donate, people can visit, call 1-800-RED-CROSS or text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation.
