Found this little teaser at the DC Blog:

“The back-up in ACTION COMICS #14 is a really terrific little story, but we can’t tell you much about it yet,” Moss teased. “All we can say is that it’s IMPORTANT! Historic, even! Superman has been making these regular trips to an observatory. But why? What is he searching for? Find out this November … and wait’ll you see who’s helping him!”

Looks nice but what a waste of a third of a book! Took me less than a minute to breeze through that.
Man, give me 80s dense meaty long read comics any day over this

What's gonna suck is seeing Morrison pack in all the stuff he had planned for the book in the next few issues.

Cliffs Notes (if this is what Nacireman is referring to):

The Multitude has a list of (IIRC, 333) doomed planets that they are in the process of destroying.
Earth is on that list.
Turns out that Brainiac was also using that list to get to the doomed planets first to collect and preserve artifacts as well as a city of people from each doomed planet.
Captain Comet has gone off-planet in search of the Planetary Cuckoos who somehow can provide a solution and/or possible defense.
The Multitude is supposedly unstoppable yet when they attacked Krypton, Jor-El somehow repelled them.

In addition, the mysterious Little Man, who put Mxyzptlk in a coma, is amassing an Anti-Superman Army to defeat Superman.

So when this all hits it's going to be non-stop chaos as only Morrison can confuse you with

I think Nacireman's referring to Morrison leaving Action Comics by #16 rather than all those plot threads.

Right, that also. I'm going by the assumption that Morrison will try and wrap all this up before he departs.

Or DC will use that stuff as a launching point for the next writer. That's a possibility too.

damn, well I'm more concerned with the news that Morrison is leaving with issue #16. The only reason I bought this comic was because of Morrison writing it. Oh well, wasted space in my collection.

I'd say the former's the bigger possibility.

The Multitude reminds me of the alien Tribunal Superman faced in the 90's during "The Trial Of Superman" saga over a decade ago.

World-renowned astrophysicist that the majority of comic readers probably have never heard of in a comic book. That really makes me want to go out and buy five copies of it.
