Watch the First Two Episodes of Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome

The web-only prequel to Battlestar Galactica (that isn't that other prequel to Battlestar Galactica) starts today!

Source: Press Release

Remember Battlestar Galactica? No, not that kinda silly show from the late 70's, but that dark, gritty reboot from a few years ago that kinda started out as Iraq War allegory before it became about who's secretly a magic robot and who isn't? Anyway, you may have heard that the SYFY network still has some cachet to squeeze out of the property, so they've decided to go forward with a prequel. No, not Caprica, another prequel, one that takes place after Caprica.  Well Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, is a web series that originally was supposed to be a good old-fashioned TV series, and it's starting today.  We have the SYFY press release as well as the first two episodes embedded below.  Take a look:

Today, Machinima, Inc. and Universal Cable Productions (UCP) premiered the first 2 episodes of the much anticipated Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, a spinoff of the blockbuster Battlestar Galactica series franchiseexclusively on Machinima’s premium channel, Machinima Prime (

The episodes and corresponding descriptions can be found below.

Episode 1:

Ensign William Adama (Luke Pasqualino), barely in his 20′s and a recent Academy graduate, finds himself assigned to the newest battlestar in the colonial fleet: The Galactica. He quickly clashes with his co-pilot, Coker Fasjovik (Ben Cotton), a war-weary officer with just 47 days left on his tour of duty. In pursuit of the intense action that the Cylon war promises, Adama can’t wait to enter the fray.

Episode 2:

Adama and Coker’s supply mission features a surprise: their cargo is the beautiful and enigmatic scientist Dr Becca Kelly (Lili Bordan). The routine mission quickly becomes deadly as the small crew pilots their Raptor into Cylon territory.

New episodes will roll out every Friday exclusively on Machinima Prime (, leading up to the gripping finale on November 30.

This highly anticipated chapter in the Battlestar Galactica saga takes place in the midst of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, the sentient robotic Cylons, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, gifted fighter pilot, William Adama (Luke Pasqualino, The Borgias), finds himself assigned to one of the most powerful battlestars in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Full of ambition and hungry for action, Adama quickly finds himself at odds with his co-pilot, the battle-weary officer Coker (Ben Cotton, Alcatraz). With only 47 days left in his tour of duty, Coker desires an end to battle as much as Adama craves its onset. Lili Bordán(Silent Witness) also stars.

Anyone else watch this movie last Sunday ?
Ugh. It was an effort to get through it.
I'd say it might have done better in the Saturday Night movie slot but let's face it, even "Dino-Shark" was more entertaining this this
