Talk about an Assassin's Creed movie being developed with a goal of coming out in 2013 has been circulating around the web lately, well forget about it, it aint happenin!
Source: joystiq Ubisoft chief sales and marketing officer Geoffroy Sardin said an Assassin's Creed film was set for next year in an interview with GamesIndustry International, and the internet has exploded, at least in Assassin's Creed circles, with speculation.
One of the biggest questions is how they will be able to make a good movie in so short amount of time, especially when the movie isn't that far into any development phase. Though it has been fast tracked so to speak, they have only started script treatments and only Michael Fassbender has been cast.
Well, rest easy fans, Ubisoft clarified his statement with G4, saying it was only about a further major development happening next year in the production of the movie and that it was not coming out in 2013. After playing Assassin's Creed 3, one might wonder why a movie is needed at all with the amount of cut scenes in the game.
Hopefully, Ubisoft will keep the movie as true to the gaming experience as possible, possibly by forcing players to rewatch the same scenes over and over again as the main character dies repeatedly trying to complete an incomprehensible task.
