Source: The Internet Cartoon fans everywhere were devestated to learn that Young Justice was cancelled today. It seemed like an inevitable fact, with DC Nation getting put on hiatus and all, but today's news still came as a sad, sad shock for many. The series was written by Greg Weisman, the creator of Gargoyle and Spectacular Spider-Man. At least, the series is planned to go out with a bang, with both Brainiac and Deadshot appearing in the final installment.
I suppose fans of the series shouldn't be too disappointed. The series ran for two years despite an increasingly hostile market and a corporate owner who seemed disinterested in the series, at best. The only good thing about Young Justice was that it ran on a regular schedule, with the series regularly appearing at least once a month.
Oh, by the way, I should make it clear that I'm talking about the comic tie-in to the fan-favorite show. We don't know whether Young Justice the cartoon is or isn't cancelled (it's almost certain that it is) and we wouldn't dare want to lead any fans of the cartoon to think that the show had been ended prematurely.
Here's the solicitation to the final comic:
