Seth Gabel to Play Arrow's Vertigo

The actor previously played Lincoln Lee on Fringe.

Source: TV Line

Arrow's first "big bad" has a face.  Seth Gabel, probably best known for his stint as Lincoln Lee on Fox's sci-fi show Fringe, will be playing a character based on the villain Count Vertigo.  While the character will have a new name in the CW series, TV Line reports that the character's ability to stimulate vertigo in his foes will remain the same.

As mentioned previously, Gabel's character will be "scary and nightmarish" and will have a Christopher Nolan-esque "vibe" to him.

With multiple sources naming Vertigo as the series' main villain this season, I'm presuming that the character won't be offed in one appearance like other DC villains Drakon or Deadshot.  While the inclusion of all these villains is pretty nifty, they've been depicted as little more than hired muscle with no personality or threat to them.  Hopefully Seth Gabel can bring a little more to the role.
