They are doing very well, but I don't think they really want to even be seen to be in the race against Marvel and DC, they are different, and that's a good thing.

Not when it comes to sales.

If anything Marvel and DC should be aspiring to be more like Image, especially when it comes to developing their properties for other mediums.

yeah, it's not like the Avengers have an ongoing cartoon and a recent movie that made over $1.5 billion worldwide. or a pending SHIELD series set to air on ABC. or are about to make a feature film starring a talking tree and an ass-kicking raccoon. they really need to follow that Image model and get something in that 10 p.m. EST time slot on AMC Sunday nights.

GTFO with that shit.

Huh, the only Image books I can think of that have been adapted to other media are Spawn, Walking Dead and Firebreather.

DC and Marvel have way more properties translating to other media.

Moran, have either company had a TV show that's even been in the neighborhood of being as good as The Walking Dead?

Marvel's definitely picked up at the theater (EXCEPT IT ONLY TOOK THEM FIFTY GOD DAMN YEARS), but, I don't have any hope that Arrow or SHIELD or going to be anywhere near as good as one of the best shows on TV.

So in short: you're an idiot.

Yeah, but, Image pretty much just stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park, that was my point.

Smallville was on for like 10 years, but, it was excruciatingly painful for 9.5 of them.

Arrow's much better, Marvel has really done anything on TV short of a few decent/good cartoons.

Walking Dead isn't that good IMO, the pilot was amazing, but after that...

It gets good ratings, but so did Smallville, which lasted 10 seasons.

Wanted was pretty good, and The Maxx (didn't realize it was Image actually) is one of my favorite cartoons of all time.

The original Spawn cartoon on HBO back in the mid 90's was top notch as well.

Definitely have a better batting average than the big two.
