Entertainment Weekly is reporting the actor has been cast as Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke the Terminator. I know what you're thinking, "But wait Deathstroke appeared on Arrow already?" EW says this on the issue:

 

For fans of the Green Lantern comics, that character is a big one. In the comics, Wilson eventually becomes a major villain in the franchise — Deathstroke (whom we’ve already seen briefly in a flashback, masked, played by another actor). Like with the question of if/when Laurel Lance will become the Black Canary, sources won’t comment on whether Wilson will become Deathstroke, an insider simply said, “You’ll just have to keep watching Arrow.”

 

Yes, you read that correctly too, EW thinks Slade Wilson is an enemy of Green Lantern. This reporter must assume that Geoff Johns must have slipped unannounced in the offices of the entertainment news and ghost wrote this article. Since comic book fans know Slade is a primary enemy of the group of superheroes the Teen Titans.

The other thing EW confirmed is that Bennett will be hanging around Arrow for multiple episodes this season for the show. Plus not only will he be appearing on this show but the actor will show up in the final season of Spartacus and he'll be playing an orc leader in the Hobbit.

Did EW edit the article? It says "Green Arrow" instead of "Green Lantern" now.

In all fairness, Deathstroke was a major foil for Green Arrow after Identity Crisis, although he eventually went back to bothering the Titans.
