Adult Swim Teases Lost Episode of Dexter's Laboratory

Adult Swim is teasing they have the lost episode of Dexter's Laboratory. Yes, the series had a lost episode. Click on to learn the history of it.

So on Friday night, Adult Swim tweeted this:

Dexter's Lab fans: is there still interest in seeing the lost unaired episode? Let us know.

To those who don't know of the lost episode here's the history of it. An episode of Dexter's Laboratory was made during when it's creator Genndy Tartakovsky, run the show (later on he moved to doing the Powerpuff Girls, while others ran it) around 1998. During a select few animation and comic book conventions, Genndy would show the lost episode to a small crowd.

The episode, entitled "Dexter's Rude Removal" had Dexter and Dee Dee get hit by the former's latest invention the Rude Extractor which separated their rude halfs (who were both VERY foul mouthed. A  complete summary of the episode can be found here.

There where two versions were shown of this episode. One totally unedited with all profanities kept and one edited with bleeps). Obviously due to the content, Cartoon Network never ran the episode.  It was considered lost to the ages and long considered a myth.

That was until this past October 2012, when Genndy revealed during a Reddit interview that it does exist, he still had an unedited copy of the episode, and show it at a convention down the road. So will AS show in infamous episode? Stay tuned for further updates when this reporter will get them.

Does anyone find it strange that we get Powerpuff Girls, SWAT Kats, and this all in one week? :smt017

They should show it with the now banned Barbequor episode of Dial M For Monkey. They'd go great together on AS. :smt026

 An episode of Dexter's Laboratory that I have never seen before and it is from the good era of the show when Genndy Tartakovsky was at the helm?! :smt026

copyright infringements from Marvel, over-the-top gay stereotypes, and drunk characters

Personally, I thought it was hilarious.

It was good but the Macho Man episode is still the greatest.

I doubt copyright infringement had anything to do with it. It's parody, which is protected under the law.
