Yes, the company that stopped the presses on the Elseworlds 80-Page Giant just because of the "Superbaby's Babysitter" story would never even THINK of making sure a Gail Simone story never sees the light of day... :P

Yes, Felicia Day might just refuse to wear a Batgirl t-shirt in Dr. Horrible 2. :smt102

I like her and all, but a kingmaker she ain't, I think...:P

I was thinking Gaiman. But then again he'll still write whatever it is DC wants of him to do with Sandman before they decide to publish four mini's entitled Before Sandman. :P

Oh, so when I say "So and So fired off book", then you mock me, but when this happens, there's all wailing and moaning.

This is not the first time Simone's been ousted from a book because of "conflicts" with an editor, by the way.

I, for one, cannot WAIT for Jim Starlin's Batgirl. Or Howard Mackie, or, realistically, Tommy DeFalco, since he wormed his way into the bat office with his substandard fill in of Nightwing.

Even though Simone is a shitty writer, this is an even shittier way to fire someone.

DC are fucking ridiculous.

In the digital age and how things are evolving Felicia Day is pretty culturally relevant good sir. 8)

Her relationship with Dark Horse has been really mutually beneficial.

The major difference is when you say it, the person wasn't actually fired.

True enough. But much as it pains me to say it, DC has gone beyond merely sucking and are well into uncharted realms of unprofessionalism and self-damage.

This is terrible. But we've seen this for years unfortunately.

Creator rights are dead. Half of you nincompoops will probably celebrate it as well.

You know what the bitter irony of all this is?? Gail was one of Dan and the Gang's biggest cheerleaders, almost sycophantic in her support of the company, no matter what utter BS they were pulling at the time. And we now see what THAT earned her in the end...

Rob Liefeld leaving THREE books because of conflicts with editorial is met with laughter from you, but one (average, IMO ) writer gets booted from an (average, IMO) book, and you refuse to even consider the possibility that I have an opinion? I can't decide which one of you is a bigger ass to talk to.
