Dan Didio leaves a cryptic hint on his facebook.
Source: Dan Didio's Facebook Over the weekend, amateur mathematician Brian O'Sullivan informed Dan Didio on his facebook that April 2013 will see the release of the 900th issue of Detective Comics and recommended to Didio that DC release a milestone anniversary issue.
Dan Didio responded that he was already aware of the upcoming milestone, but refused to elaborate further.
This raises the question as to whether DC will do away with the "New 52" numbering, which it first instituted when rebooting their continuity. Could it be that after a whopping eighteen months of holding true to their new numbering scheme, we'll see DC discard it in order to take advantage of a cheap gimmick that will bring in a temporary spike of sales?
My theory: No. DC, who published Before Watchmen and a month of "#0" comics, would never, ever, ever engage in such cheap tactics.
Detective Comics #900 will more than likely be released in April.
