Will CM Punk Write Punisher for Marvel?!

CM Punk is pitching story ideas to write a comic book, possibly starring The Punisher.

Best wrestler in the world CM Punk was on the Nerdist podcast yesterday, and he confirmed that he was in talks with Marvel to write a comic for them, and that he's been pitching ideas for The Punisher. "I think I can tackle that," he said about the character. The talk comes about an hour and five minutes into the podcast, available here.

Punk has been rumored to be continuing his working relationship with Marvel after writing the introduction to the Avengers vs. X-Men collection, but this is the first official confirmation that he may be writing a specific comic book.

As The Outhouse is the first website to rip this story off from Nerdist, we hope Rich Johnston and Al Issacs will link to us and feed us delicious unique hits, and we also expect CM Punk to come on Eric Ratcliffe's podcast and mudwrestle him.

The only comic I've ever picked up written by a wrestler was Raven's Spider-Man issue and that was very good. I guess I'll give Punks book a chance too solely on that if he gets a good artist working with him.

Now about the topic at hand. I have never read the Punisher for any prolonged period of time...but I would be willing to give a CM Punk helmed Punisher comic a chance.
