The Marvel animated cartoon returns with all new episodes beginning in January.

TV Guide reports today that Ultimate Spider-Man will return with a one-hour kick-off premiere on January 21st at a special time of 7:00 pm Eastern Time. Then on January 27, the show returns to it's old time slot on Sunday morning.

For Season 2, more classic Spidey villains will be reintroduced namely Electro (in both his 616 and then his Ultimate form) and the Lizard (Dee Bradley Baker reprising the role he started on the previous Spidey toon, Spectacular Spider-Man). The new villains add up into the formation of the classic villain team the Sinister Six (though only five are confirmed so far namely the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter, Electro, the Lizard). You can also expect a HUGE amount of guest stars this season (we already know the Guardians of the Galaxy will appear somewhere in the season) and the Avengers who appeared last year (Captain America, Thor, and Iron Man) will show up again this year just in time for the new Marvel animated show, Avengers Assemble.

The title should have read "Ultimate Spiderman Returns But Nobody Cares For The Most Part".

How do you make an already obnoxious show even more so ? Use Hawkeye as a guest-star who does nothing but act like an arrogant prick the entire episode :roll:

Hawkeye's character design was cool but I kept having to turn the volume down for all the bitching and yelling. Jesus, it was like an episode of Maury Povich :lol:

I didn't even like the costume. :-D
