Most of the re-designs they've done for the Olympus Gods have been decent. Apparently Chiang did struggle a bit when presented with Orion:

So instead of having ridiculously over-the-top New Gods costumes, the brash Orion has "the attitude of the hottest astronaut in the late '60s. He's got the right stuff," Chiang explains. "We've got him in this motorcycle-racing jacket and these tight black pants and boots, and the Astro-Harness now resembles more of an Italian racing bike."

Tackling the new design proved "incredibly difficult," the artist says, but he went from a "It's not broke so don't fix it" mind-set to being encouraged to make the character his own.

Orion does look silly. Give him some chains and he's Ghost Rider. :P

I won't be too harsh on Chiang though. He's done a great job on WW lately.

Me too. Still got a bit of the classic Orion look. Can't see anything wrong with it.

I've only just come back to Wonder Woman after stopping at #4. Think I found the new look & direction off-putting after buying every WW since COIE.
Kept hearing good things about the series & bought the issues I'd missed so I could give it another try. Glad I did.

DANG!

Kind of reminds me of Mon-El's costume. Sort of military cadet-ish.

Orion: "You know what I do to men like you"
Diana: "It better be nothing when a woman like me is backing him up" :smt023
