Your First Look at Hong Kong Phooey

Your First Look at Hong Kong Phooey

Supposedly a video of the title character has been leaked online and a test reel of a shelved Marvin the Martian movie.

Source: “Marvin The Martian” “Hong Kong Phooey” Live/CG Footage Leaked

Yes, the live action Hong Kong Phooey movie seems to be actually progressing it seems. When last heard, the only known facts of the projects was Eddie Murphy would be providing the voice of the title character, it be directed by the man who gave Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2, Alex Zamm. and the most hated of comic book directors, Brett Ratner, would be producing it. The supposed test footage was revealed by Zamm who posted it on online. Though for those souls who aren't brave to watch the video here's a screen cap of what Hong Kong Phooey looks like in the test footage:

Along with that big of test footage, Zamm has also posted a video from the shelved Marvin the Martian movie he was apart of too. Unlike the previous footage, Marvin retains his classic cartoon look. No word why this movie was shelved other than it didn't have the greatest star amongst the Warner Brothers Looney Tune gang in, Daffy Duck.

No word yet when or on a release date for Hong Kong Phooey. Hopefully never.

Yes, because when I think of Hong Kong Phooey, I immediately think Donkey from Shrek...

I hope it doesn't bomb like Yogi Bear did.

Is there any point to this without Scatmam Crothers around anymore?

Stupid Warner Brothers! :smt013 :smt011

I would happily give them my money if they were to release a Marvin the Martian movie.

Providing that they found a good cast and crew to work on the movie of course...

1. I suspect that I should be happy that all I can see is a still, and no video.

2. Eddie Murphy (or an imitation of him) as Hong Kong?? Really?? :smt011

I can do the Scatman Crothers voice; when you're ready to do a new hand-drawn HKP series, CALL ME UP!!

Poor Hanna Barbera. As much as I love most of their cartoons, a lot of their live action movies suck ass with the exception of the first Flintstones movie and the first 2 Scooby Doo ones. I even hear that they were supposed to have a Johnny Quest movie in the works but apparently that's still in development hell.

CGI characters are the worst thing to happen to movies in a long time.

Certainly in trying to have cgi cartoon characters in a live action movie. What's sad is the idea that they may go that route with the Roger Rabbit sequel.

That's a fact. Space Jam didn't need any filthy CGI characters!

What?!

They're making a Roger Rabbit sequel?

Why on Earth would they want to do that?

Oh wait...

...it's modern day Hollywood, isn't it.
