Let's not forget the fact that he was so notorious for stealing stories and not bothering to fact-check or cite sources that Diamond intentionally placed a ridiculously unbelievable story for him to steal and run with in order to expose him, and it worked. This is the kind of scandal that would end the career of any "journalist" with actual integrity, but Johnston just had a laugh at his own idiocy and kept on chugging. The man is a joke, and thinks that everyone is laughing with him, when we're actually laughing at him.
