Exclusive: Sam Humphries Makes Shocking Revelation about Ultimate Comics on Robot6

The writer made some bold claims about Marvel's Ultimate Universe over on CBR's Robot6 blog, which was reported by Bleeding Cool and is now being featured in this exclusive Outhouse article!

Source: Bleeding Cool

Beleaguered unjournalist Rich Johnston over at Bleeding Cool reported today on a comment made by creator Sam Humphries to Robot6. We spent upwards of 30 seconds looking for the original article on CBR before deciding to simply post the quote from Bleeding Cool:

But that only takes us through January, and everyone already knows about those books anyway. So I guess I’ll say…Ultimates: Infinity.

This is the first mention any of us have heard of this Ultimates: Infinity, which brings to light shocking information about Marvel's Ultimates Universe: it is still being published. Most readers have been under the impression that the books stopped shipping sometime in 2010, but a quick look at Wikipedia, if we bothered to do so, would reveal that there are at least three Ultimate books being published right this minute.

We're not sure what Ultimates: Inifnity will be about. The obvious answer is that the book will be an Ultimate Universe version of Marvel's Inifinity Gauntlet story, which has only been rehashed three times in the past few years, with a Marvel Adventures retelling, a Thanos story in Avengers Assemble, and the abysmal Chaos War, which was basically the same thing.

Stay tuned to The Outhouse, as we will faithfully take the crap that other sites are pulling out of their asses for this slow news days and make it slightly funnier and more confusing.

Too bad I dropped all the Ultimate Books besides Spider-man. Not that I need to read another Infinity Gem story I'll just wait until Avengers 2 comes to theaters.

Instead of putting top talent on the ultimate books, they're now just minor league training for stray writers Marvel picks up in Home Depot parking lots.

Illegal comic book writers? I did not know that was a problem in America.

Lousy Brits and Brazilians have been crossing the border to take comic writing and artist jobs from hard working Americans since the late 80s...

I do find myself thinking, whenever I read any Ultimate related news, 'are those books still around?' I know they were kind of the cool deal at one point, but I don't know anyone who buys them now.

As long as there is an Ultimate Spider-Man, Bendis can leave ruining the Spidey books to Dan Slott.
