Keb wrote:^ interesting. I got burnt out on Ultimate U long before ultimatum as it felt like a rehash of 616 but it sounds like it is evolved into something good.

How are these titles:

Wolverine & the X-men
Swamp Thing (nu52)
Animal Man (nu52)

in order
really good
really good
ok enough to read because of the connection to ST

I'd say

Great
Good
Good

Animal Man was better before Steve Pugh came back on, and both 'vertigo' titles have been bogged down in a crossover for the last infinity months.

WATXM spent its entire second year as part of AvsX but it managed to forward its own plots when dealing with the other stuff, and then come out of the crossover with a Doop issue (which I guess you liked?) and then a pretty good Frankenstein story. It's kinda like New X-Men if it was a comedy.

Wolverine & The X-Men is great if you have a tolerance for "wacky" stuff. I think Jason Aaron gets a little cutesy with the characters at times, but overall it's a good book. Don't go into it if you're looking for something serious. It has a lighter tone than X-Men books usually have, but still somewhat mature. I happen to like it.

Swamp Thing is awesome. Definitely the best series with the character since Alan Moore's stuff. Scott Snyder seems to be in his element here.

Animal Man ties together with Swamp Thing. Also a really good book. Very much a horror title with some really creepy shit going on. The art doesn't start out so great, but the story overcomes this.

I'll take that as no one is reading it.
The thread title should be changed to: Is It Any Good? (Official Marvel & DC Thread).

I'm dropping all of my Indie comics to give Marvel and DC more of my hard earned money. The sooner everyone is working for the big two the better. I need more Wolverine comics, damn it!

You sure can. Do you want to call dibs on the eventual Wolverine & the Fantastic Four, Wolverine Team-Up and The Amazingly Invincible Wolverine?

Hell yeah! The Sword and Girls were awesome. Ultra was pretty good too. One of the brothers is currently working on Whispers and I've been enjoying that comic quite a bit.

I've heard it told that one of the Luna brothers is great. The other one, not so good.

At cunnilingus. I don't know about their comics though.
