So if I'm reading this right, Johns just revealed the hidden player who was behind gathering the Atlantean relics and starting this war.

It's not Aquaman's mother as some of us thought :wink:

nope. Johns went for the much more obvious, much less emotional route.

this event is so soullessly paint-by-the-numbers i'm ashamed i've read this much of it.

What big comic event these days isn't paint-by-the-numbers ? :lol:
So far this one has been decent overall and hasn't been lacking in action or some great stand-alone moments.

And if you look veryclosely at the scene when Hawkman is struck down you'll get the first glimpse of another JL reserve member 8)
