What a cliffhanger at the end of issue 3! A very fun, pulpy twist. It's that kind of ending that encourages me to continue reading superhero comics.

The tedium of issue 2 has been quickly overtaken by the fast, fun action in issue 3. I am again enthusiastic about this series -- especially because it's no longer reminiscent of The Road.

Looking forward to seeing where this story goes.

Issue 4 was weird. The Dimension Z shit was okay but the 1930s flashback seemed pretty weak/silly. I see now where a lot of people are coming with wanting to drop this piece.

The story is mediocre and the art work is nauseating. Only because im a huge Cap fan do I continue with this silly shit.

Glad some of you like it, but I just cannot grasp how people love JRJR. I absolutely hate his work...

Its been pretty good the art. I like jrjr but this time around I'm not feeling the way the story is paced. Usually I like his at for layouts but I don't think he's working well with remender.

I'm with you... I could never get into it.
His spidey stuff with JMS was alright... everything else I've seen of his has been, at best, hard to look at.

But he's really popular, so maybe I just don't "get it"? :smt102

i still say that JRJr was much, MUCH better in the 80s in his first runs on Spidey, Iron Man, and X-Men than he has been since. the more he has "developed" his style over the years the worse it looks.

That's very possible. I honestly don't know that I've read any of his 80s stuff.

And I do agree that every new thing I see from him looks worse than the last,
so perhaps it is just evolving in a way that I don't care for.

I think a lot of it has to do with Klaus Janson. Respect to the man for his work with Frank Miller and shit but I find the line work when inked is a lot more blocky and people look more square than anything. I also don't think Dean White's coloring meshes very well with his art either. Something about the combo of JRJR & Janson + White doesn't sit right with me.

Also, I'm starting to lean more towards Sakie's theory that this shit is happening all in Cap's head. Or it could be that time is out of joint. 11 years passed and Ian doesn't look like he's aged much but Jet Black is a teenage girl now. Shit is weird.
