I finally broke down and ordered Fear Agent Library Edition Vol. 1. It arrived yesterday and unfortunately I have only had the opportunity to read the first 2 issues. So far Tony Moore's art is top notch and Remender seems like he is having a great time. Can't wait to read more of this book because it reminds me of good, old fashioned sci-fi greatness.

Moore's art is very consistent throughout the book.

Soon Remender will put his foot down at the WTF throttle. Give it 2 more issues :)

I did, he did, and it was AWESOME! I am absolutely loving this book!

For anybody who hasn't read it yet and likes old school sci-fi, I strongly recommend giving this book a shot.

Still to come. Clones and time travel!

Rememder does a great job in this retro sci-fi book.

That's quite a phallic cover.
I like that.

It's a good read, and seamlessly blends autobiography and fiction into a very compelling narrative with some mystery at the center of it.

If you read it, you'll finish by wishing it were all true.

Yeah, the main story itself was absolutely amazing. I was on the edge of my seat for the entire ride. I just have a few more of the Tales of the Fear Agent stories to go but I am completely blown away by this book. Backup stories featuring art by Francesco Francavilla and Paul Renaurd? I can't believe that I completely missed this book when it was coming out. Damn, I don't want to wait until July 9th to get the second volume of the Library Edition! If the second half of Fear Agent is half as good as the first, it will easily fall into my Top 5 Comic Series of all time.

I picked up some cheap sets of classic Vertigo, Sebastian O, Trenchcoat Brigade, and the proto-Vertigo Black Orchid by Gaiman & McKean.

Reading through the editorial pages that list the books out that month, it's amazing what s diverse and strong line they had going there in the early to mid-'90s. Lots of books I've never read or hadn't thought about in a long time, and lots of writers gone from the comics landscape today as far as I can tell.

i can't remember if I already have the Black Orchid books, or if I'd sold them or something.
