And I love God of War, but what the hell is it doing on the list?

It was just like Ninja Gaiden which came out a year earlier.

Or every other game like it. It's pretty and has a cool story, but the gameplay is really really simple. Double Dragon, basically.

Beat-em ups have just evolved to slash em ups. I'd still like to see a Streets of Rage Revival.

I know. A good game, but it didn't add anything to anything. If anything it took away multiplayer. It had a good story, but so do many many many many other games.

Yeah, but not many FPSs have a good story -- plus it had mini-games that weren't just thrown in there, and wasn't it highly customizable.

I'd say Guitar Hero was a lot more influential than a lot of the games on the list.

I think the most criminally neglected FPS as far as this list goes is Half Life. I mean, c'mon.

They pretty much ignored old arcade games. Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Space Invaders are a hell of a lot more influence than Outrun 2.

It had a good story for an FPS, but nothing else about it was influential.

Myst had first person puzzles long before it. There have been tons of games where you had to use different weapons to get through different areas. The customizing of weapons had been done many times before. It played a lot like the Metroid Prime games, in my opinion.
