The Infinity Gauntlet...shattered! Captain America...mindwiped! Henry McCoy...finds his balls at last!

So what did you think of this issue? Do you agree that Cap doesn't have the stones to make the hard decisions?

Oh, and I give this 4 stars. Cap's sanctimonious drivel prevented it from being a 5 star issue.

This issue and Avengers #'s 4 & 5 have pretty clearly shown how they'll tie into the Thanos event. The gems shattering was clearly a WTF moment and everything that followed delivered.

I'm honestly surprised though, the first issue of this series was horrible but everything that's followed has been top notch. From the verge of being dropped to one of my fave books.

Cap needs to be lobotomized in more series, IMO.

I'm glad that Dr. Strange was the one to do it.

They mindwiped Batman? er, I mean... They mindwiped Cap?

Never having been a fan of the gems (unless it sat on Adam Warlocks forehead) so their shattering meant very little to me.

So these 'heroes' are going to condemn another Earth to die? Does anybody actually think that's how it'll end?

From the looks of the teaser for the next issue, it looks like they are going to invite Galactus over for dinner.

Dont' take Chap seriously when it comes to Cap (Steve Rogers could take a dump on his chest and Chap would tell him how right he was for doing it)

Hickman is definitely living up to expectations.

Did anybody else notice that the only gem that didn't shatter was the gem that was in Cap's possession? I wonder if the Illuminati didn't stage that little "incursion" just to get Cap out of the way and gain possession of his gem. I mean, if the gems really were destroyed then that means the Illuminati now believes they can accomplish something the Infinity Gems could not. If they are conceited enough to believe that, then Cap was definitely right.

Still, even though I don't agree with them or their Identity Crisis tactics, I really do like this series.

It was the Time Gem, if that's significant.

I think a bigger question is whom is on the far left of the seven figures in front of Galactus on the next cover.

I agree. Cap is ALWAYS right.

It's his writers who are sometimes wrong.
