![]() DC has cancelled over 10% of its New 52 Line Source: CBR DC announced today that Savage Hawkman, Fury of Firestorm, Sword and Sorcery, The Ravagers, Deathstroke and Team 7 have all been cancelled. The six series, which comprise most of DC's bottom sellers will see their last issues run in May. The announcement came along with a bevy of creative changes in CBR's weekly B&B interview. Justin Jordan will be taking over Superboy, while the creative team of Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Grey will be taking over Batwing. Also, Sterling Gates will be replacing Andrew Kreisberg on the Vibe series in May, despite Kreisberg recently discussing his longterm plans with the series. We've also learned that Ales Kot will be writing Suicide Squad and Michael Alan Nelson will be taking over Supergirl. All in all, today's announcements basically mark a further decimation of DC's Dark, Edge, and Young Justice lines, which have been whittled down to a handful of titles. Bob Harras did hint that there would be more "Teen" titles, so I'm sure we'll hear more about that next month.

I don't know how I feel about Michael Alan Nelson taking over Supergirl. What has he done? I'm sure Mahmud Asrar will be off the book next, with his recently announced Marvel work on Ultimate X-Men. |

More cost cutting. DC is moving in an intelligent direction. 52 books is too many. 5 should be closer to what they're publishing in the DCU. | ||

![]() can't believe how badly the wildstorm properties have been regressed to their mid-90's status quo. |

They ARE taking them in a new direction. They're taking the stories to the shredder, as opposed to the printer. |

Yeah, that last issue really didn't do it for me. |
