The DC scribe is stepping away from Green Lantern after nearly a decade.
Source: AP report Nearly a decade after revitalizing the franchise with Green Lantern: Rebirth, Geoff Johns has announced his decision to step away from the Green Lantern franchise to the Associated Press. Johns stated that he felt he had reached a good end point with the series and decided to pass the reins to a new writer, which will probably be determined at this week's DC creative summit in Charlotte, North Carolina.
According to the report, Johns will continue to write Aquaman (a title that he had been rumored to be stepping away from) along with two Justice League titles.
Johns' last issue will be released in May 2013 and will contain 64 pages.
