Source: Hello Kitty Can Battle DC/Marvel Heroes in HeroClix Game

Announced at Toy Fair, NECA (National Entertainment Collectibles Association) has signed a deal with Sanrio to produce Hello Kitty themed goods. NECA is the parent of WizKids which produces HeroClix, the collectible miniatures game. In that game players can pit characters against one another and several licensed characters are a part of their library including characters from DC, Marvel, 2000 A.D., Top Cow, Street Fighter, Halo, Star Trek, and Lord of the Rings. And yes, NECA has the rights to use Hello Kitty in HeroClix as well.

In other Hello Kitty related news, parent company Sanrio is now debt-free partially because of the many merchandise crossovers the company has been involved with. Some of the crossovers include those with Evangelion, KISS, Sonic the Hedgehog, Street Fighter, and the horror movie The Ring.
