The writing was on the wall for this one folks. Much like Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice, no information was known for Transformers: Prime beyond it's third season entitled Beast Hunters. Yesterday saw the season trailer debut and now word  is out that this will be the show's final season.

The show will still have sixteen episodes, but thirteen of them will air on the HUB, while the final three will be used for a seventy-five minute Beast Hunters movie that'll hit DVD shelves later this year.

 

But fear not Transformer fans, for as this show ends (which has a healthy sixty-five episodes to go with it) another Transformer show shall rise. For in the later half of 2014 a new Transformers show will debut hot on the heels of Michael Bay's fourth live action Transformer movie.

Well this show did have a healthy episode length. It lasted for over sixty-five episodes. You can't say that for a lot of shows.

I am guessing the cartoon was getting too good so they had to cancel it to spite the viewers, am I correct?

Nah it got a healthy over 60 episode run. That's why it had to go. Plus where do you go after the logical perfection of Shockwave?

Well the show did get a kinder fate than GI Joe Renegades to be fair.
