Guys, in case you didn't see in the podcast thread, Dragavon passed away in October.

His mother just informed Prozacman over the weekend after he tried to contact Dragavon over the weekend.

SOMERSET COUNTY — A man hit and killed this morning by a passing NJ Transit train in Somerville has been identified as Aly Abbas, a 35-year-old Somerville resident, an agency spokesman said this afternoon.

Abbas was on the railroad’s right of way about 6:30 a.m. and was struck by a Newark-bound train near the Somerset Street crossing, about a half-mile west of the Somerville train station, the spokesman, John Durso Jr., said.

Agency investigators, along with the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office and medical examiner, are still investigating the circumstances around the incident, he said.

The train was traveling about 40 mph, Durso said.

There were no injuries to the crew or roughly 150 passengers, who were transferred to another train. The accident cancelled two other trains and delayed service in both directions. Trains are again running on time, Durso said.

According to public records, Abbas, of Main Street, owned a Bridgewater home-construction company.

Thanks for doing the investigating guys, it was a mystery why he stopped posting on the 17th.

Depressing.

My condolences to his family and friends. He was a valued member of the podcast crew and a pal on the site.

I literally don't know what that means, but I'm trying to get the right guy in my head. He was Muslim wasn't he? I certainly remember him being a young recently married guy.

He was from Pakistan who was married at the beginning of last year.

I have not been able to pull up an obituary online since one does not seem to exist, nor has their been much follow-up articles on the accident either.

Shit.

I've just searched his post history. He was a guy who loved comics. He used to get pissed off when I went a bit far sometimes but he was never rude and clearly had a decent sense of humour.
