To me Volthoom is the entity inside Power Ring's ring (the GL equivalent in the Crime Syndicate). Should I be thinking of anyone else?

I'm confused by this solicit. Aren't we still on Rise of Third Army story? Or did it conclude in another comic?

it didn't end, wasn't even resolved. it folded directly into this where the first lantern has the focus now. i was extremely annoyed about that.

Why/How did the Guardians shrink to midgets when they were once 6'0 tall?

When I realised the point of Volthoom is to rewrite reality on an epic scale only one thing came to mind: Johns is readying him as a massive retcon machine to Fear Bug away the Guardians own indiscretions.

I was wondering that too especially since even pre-Nu52 Krona was usually depicted as being somewhat taller. I did some searches. Nothing definite but guessing maybe after they left Maltus and settled on Oa as "Guardians" something happened to them

Yeah, I agree. Hopefully they're trying to tighten things up a bit and clear up some contradictions.
