New creative teams for four existing series were announced.

DC has announced the new creative teams for the Green Lantern line, along with a surprise series.

Green Lantern - Robert Venditti and Billy Tan

Green Lantern Corps - Joshua Hale Fialkov and Bernard Chang

Green Lantern: New Guardians - Justin Jordan and Brad Walker

Red Lanterns - Joshua Fialkov and Alessandro Vitti

In addition, Keith Giffen will be writing a new Larfleeze series, with art from Scott Kolins.  It appears that MTV Geek is interviewing anyone attached with a GL series, so you should probably keep an eye on that site if you're interested in those things.

I was burnt out on Johns a long time ago, but I must admit that I'm a bit underwhelmed by this.

I'll give GLC a try, though, since people seemed to love I Vampire, as well as New Guardians since I miss reading a Kyle Rayner title regularly.

Basically, I'm pissed that Tomasi wasn't given the flagship title. He would have KILLED IT.

Did editorial say that everyone HAD to jump ship when Johns left? I'm just trying to wrap my head around everyone leaving at once. Seems really unusual...

Give it 6 or 7 issues and it will get dropped.

I see #'s dropping rapidly after Johns and teams leave..

It seems like DC is at least trying to keep the Lantern titles alive putting their up and coming creators on the four main GL titles. I'm gonna stay on board.fingers crossed it turns out good.

Milligan and Sepulveda's Red Lanterns has been entertaining. Hoping the quality and numbers stay the same.

I was expecting one "established" writer (like Tomasi) and then 3 "up-and-coming" writers, and would have been perfectly fine with that. This strategy just seems... ODD.

Wow. I wouldn't have guessed that Red Lanterns maintains such steady, decent sales. I've never really seen anyone talking about it before. Maybe Fialkov's input will keep it going?

I read Red Lanterns. Mostly out of habit. While I don't find it terrible, I don't find it particularly good either. It's kind of just... there. Hopefully they can find a direction for it, since I think it is kind of meandering.

2. Billy Tan????? yep, GL stays off my pull list
3. speaking of Demon Knights...Chang's gone now? i'm really starting to worry about that book's future
4. i cannot believe there is still a Red Lanterns book
5. i really hope they move Mahnke to something readable...Nightwing would sure be nice (Brett Booth is awful)
6. i just do not understand the love for Larfleeze...who the fuck is gonna buy the book, and what the fuck stories are you gonna tell with him?

2. For a second, I assumed it was Phillip Tan, since he had worked on Green Lantern before. Then I looked at the accompanying art and very quickly realized that it was, in fact, Billy Tan. God, his work is horrid.
5. I kind of hope Marvel snaps him up. Has he ever worked there before?
6. I like Scott Kolins and am glad he has a regular book, but I hate Larfleeze enough that I'll be staying far the fuck away.
