Hmmm can't wait to read a lot more on this. I just got a new ps3... Do I need a new system? Depends... Backwards compatible? Blu ray?

Haven't seen details on blu-ray yet. Not natively backwards compatible, but will be a feature of the Playstation Cloud to let you play PS1,2&3 games supposedly.

And thus, a feature to let you pay for them again. :P

I hope that is not the case, otherwise, it defeats the purpose of being able to play games you already own. We'll see I guess as more details come out later in the year.

Livestream is over.

No console reveal (only controller).

No pricing yet.

Probably be more at E3.

It's the way PS2 games work on PS3. You pay for them again as a download.

no backwards compatibility for my current games? so my choice is to stream a game of all things? this isn't music or a movie...it's a frigging videogame and we all know how bad latency problems can be in some online games.

can't believe they didn't actually show the ps4 itself. makes me think they're going to rush something out of production to meet their deadline.

Damn. I don't have any PS games, never been a PS guy though PS4 looks interesting (I don't think the spec will be too different from XBox though, so probably matter even less which console people use now). But I have to say, that sucks and is pretty stupid.
