Resident Evil 2 & 3. They were ok, some cool actions scenes.
I think they work better as stand alone movies. The second one does fit in after the first one but in the third one the world falls apart but then it’s ok in the fourth.

GiveWarAChance wrote:Father's Day -A very low budget grindhouse film that stars Matt Groening's neice as a stripper. The description from the back of the box says it best:
Father's Day follows the classic story we all grew up with: boy watches father raped and murdered, boy grows into vengeful one-eyed man, man teams up with a priest and a male prostitute to take down his father's killer.
I want to see that!

Dark Knight Returns Part 1
Fucking awesome. Does Peter Weller get grief for this? I think he's perfect. The respect they made to referencing key poses and dialogue from the source is staggering. I was 16 years old when I first read it and I openly wept 3-4 times during the film last night.
Part 2 in 20 mins...

Proof is imminent...

Watched Winnebago Man last night, and I really liked it. While it explores a similar theme to Best Worst Movie, it doesn't come off as nearly as pathetic, focusing on the man in the cult clip rather than the fans. This one is talks about the humiliation and harm that can come from these embarrassing clips and attempts to find Jack to humanize him. And he's great, the classic crotchety old man that you just love immediately. "He's everybody's grandpa."
It's also interesting to hear the reactions of the different people involved, from the collectors who admitted that they didn't want to know the real Jack because it would take away their pleasure in laughing at him to the fan who walked out after the meeting saying that he saw Jack in a completely different, human way now.

I hated the fact that he was going blind and all alone.

Yeah, that was gut-wrenching. He lives the same way my mom does, out in the woods mostly alone, so I really felt for him immediately.

Yeah, I liked it. A lot more interesting than your typical horror movie. It's nice to see the genre dealing with some original concepts and not just rely on the blood and gore to carry the film.

Grave Encounters - A paranormal reality TV crew go to an abandoned psychiatric hospital. They pay people to make up stories and have an actor on their crew pretending he's a psychic. They lock themselves in for the night and when shit starts to get real they turn into a bunch of whiny, screaming babies. They find out the hospital isn't just haunted but it's alive.
If you like the found footage style of movies I'm sure you will dig this.

12 Angry Men. Excellent movie.
