I just don't get why DC needs to put out this book.

Vibe? Katana? Hawkman? BC? Newbie GL? Really? Who's the leader of this group? John?

I think Johns is reaching with this book.

Hope Finch can stick to a monthly deadline...

i'm sorry, but Finch is terrible. and if it wasn't for Baz and Vibe, i'd really like this lineup a lot.

I haven't kept up with the solicits for this, but each member was specifically chosen to counter a member of the main League, right?

Wonder Woman=Katana

In an interview with Johns:

Why she's on a heroic team .. is because Steve Trevor has something she wants, "and it’s not at all what you’d expect. It’s not a big diamond, it’s not a get out of jail free card, it’s something she’s been searching for that’s going to lead to a whole exploration of a side of Selina Kyle we haven’t yet seen," Johns said.

yeah, these make for smart matchups...
hey, they've got a demigod who can hang with Superman in a fight...let's stop her with a non-powered chick who carries a sword.

oh, and they've got a royal powerhouse who breathes underwater and can talk to fish, whales, etc? we'll counter him with a dude with wings. he'll be perfect to go down into the ocean and fight.

who the fuck is running ARGUS? DC editorial?????

I can't wait to see Vibe's new powers. Going by the preview of his solo I'd have thought he would be able to neutralize Cyborg.

If Hawkman/Aquaman finally brings Johns Aquaman back to realistic power levels good. He's basically being written like Namor.

Now, about that shadowy trinity that was chasingOllie. At first I thought they might be some of Ivo's "evil JL androids" especially since they talk about a "creator", but at the endOllie mentions a "Secret Society" before he blacks out so .....

Why nerf Aquaman when it's more fun to buff Hawman? Boost his healing ability and make him a bit stronger.

Just read this book, and I have to admit I really like it. A 2nd (rate) League as always worked, and makes for interesting reading. But it does help to have characters that are likeble, interesting as well as favourites. Hawkman, the new Green Lnatern and J'onn J'onnz. I hope this book works.....................
