Marvel has beaten the Internet commenter at its own game.
Source: Marvel Press Release Marvel has beaten the Internet to the punch and claimed the much sought after first comment in its own teaser. In a teaser for the new Marvel #1 comic, to be released sometime in the vague future, Marvel boldly states "First." in bright white text, preventing anyone in the comments from claiming the coveted Internet prize.
"Second :(," said Toolossus, a poster at Comicookmovie.com and claimer of over 2,000 first posts during his Internet career.
"Damnit," said CyclopsX, a member of ComicBookResources. "I'm always the first comment! Now I have to actually provide commentary as to my thoughts about this teaser instead."
With no writer, no artist and seemingly every character in Marvel's catalog mentioned, the teaser doesn't leave much else to talk about. "Yeah, I got nothing," said CaptainCanada, a poster at Newsarama's defunct Talk@ board. "Looks like I'll just make some comments about Stargirl's boobs on Facebook instead."
