For some reason the photos look alot brighter than they did on the camera's LCD.

The monitor on the camera is like any monitor and may be seem too bright or too dark depending on the situation.
It's gonna seem darker outside on a sunny day than indoors.
That's what I was talking about when I mentioned that the School pics I took were slightly underexposed.
I was relying on the cameras LCD which had the brightness turned up cause I mostly shoot outdoors.
It's a good idea to go by the histogram in the preview window when checking for exposure. You can see this by pressing the info or disp button.

Had no idea my camera could give that kind of information. It also gives color information and other cool stuff. Thanks.

Keep those advises coming.

Took this a few weeks ago, figured I'd share it here.

It's one of my first shots made with my DIY white box.

Very cool.
Thanks!
Very easy project. Got it off someone's blog.
The lights are like 7 bucks each, the clear plastic bin was 6, throw in a white sheet and some poster board and you're done. Don't really need a tripod.

Nice. Did you do the b/w in camera, or have you started play with post processing?
