Iron Man 3 Concept Art Reveals Hulkbuster & Space Armors

This Iron Man 3 concept art might offer a taste of what's the come in the new Iron Man movie.

Source: Screenrant

The concept art offers us a second look at the Space Armor we saw in a leak we posted about almost a month ago and were asked to pull by Funko, the toy company that accidently released the image.  It's a pretty good bet that we could see this armor show up by the end of the movie, even after the credits, as they attempt to tie into the next marvel movie: Guardians of the Galaxy.

The second piece of art however may come as a surprise to many fans that haven't heard any rumor of the Hulk appearing in Iron Man 3.  The Hulkbuster Armor seen here may be something that never makes it into the movie, or could just show up as a concept or project Stark is working on in the background after seeing what the Hulk was capable of in Avengers.  Let's not forget Bruce Banner drove off with Stark at the end of Avengers, perhaps he even lent a few ideas to the concept, if used.  After watching Thor crumple his arms in Avengers, he might want to keep such an armor handy for more than just the Hulk.

Let's not forget with talk of World War Hulk and Planet Hulk for Marvel round three, the Hulkbuster armor could always appear sometimes down the road as well.

So what do you think of the designs?  Personally, I'm not so sure of the Hulkbuster armor, but the Space Armor looks pretty sleek to me.

UPDATE: New Iron Man 3 poster released shows some of the new armors in the background if you look closely.  The space armor can be seen pretty easily on the right side.

Yeah, I like the classic "Juggernaut-ish" hulk buster armor much better.

Cool space armor though.

Yea, the Hulkbuster armor is a bit ugly to me, looks more like an early concept I'd bet. That's why I wondered if we saw it at all, it might be a background 'idea' type thing that doesn't get used. But never heard of it (movie wise) before I saw these pics.

Now the space armor, that's almost exactly the same as the Funko figure they asked me to pull down so I'd bet we see that by the end of the movie.

yeah, i was gonna say.... I always felt like one of the defining features of Hulkbuster is the fact that the head is protected.

Well, I seriously doubt his head is in there, leaning over like that in the armor. His head is probably back in the armor and that is just all the sensors and stuff. Still, seems easy to rip off.

When they first introduced his new "gold" armor, they said that was the mark 47 (or something like that) and that means there were a lot of other armors around. I wonder if the Hulkbuster is just one of those other 40 somethings or if it was just a tossed concept (or to be used later).

Well after seeing that new trailer the Hulkbuster armor is totally in there in action.

I can safely say that I prefer the movie version of the space armor to the current space armor that Tony is wearing around Marvel NOW!
