And here's my February Cart 'O Comics.

USAGI YOJIMBO TP VOL 27 TOWN CALLED HELL (C: 0-1-2)
SOLO DELUXE ED HC *Special Discount*
GI JOE COBRA FILES #1 SUBSCRIPTION VAR
CEREBUS TP VOL 07 FLIGHT (STAR00543)
CEREBUS TP VOL 08 WOMEN (STAR00849)
DISNEY MICKEY MOUSE COLOR SUNDAYS HC VOL 01 CALL WILD (C: 1-
INDIGO PRIME ANTHROPOCALYPSE GN (MR)
HARBINGER WARS (VU) #1 (OF 4) REG LAROSA *Special Discount*
HARBINGER (VU) #11 HARBINGER WARS REG EVANS

X-O MANOWAR (VU) #12 REG DJURDJEVIC
ARCHER & ARMSTRONG (VU) #9 REG LUPACCHINO

Let the wallet crying begin! (As I debate if I really want that Harlan Ellison/Chadwick GN and wait to see what the discounts will be.)

For me the exciting things are Jim Rugg's new Supermag, which will be TOTALLY AWESOME as is everything Rugg does. http://www.adhousebooks.com/books/image ... review.pdf

Also, Astronaut Academy and Nothing Can Go Wrong from First Second are both really great (you can read them online). I will be getting both, most likely. I'm a big Faith Erin Hicks fan so that's almost a given. Astronaut Academy is a cutesy manga and video game inspired comic that shouldn't be right for me but I've been digging it. Dave Roman, the creator/artist, is a dood my age so if he can write and draw this, I can enjoy it.

Dude, it will be OK to have the second printing. The first printing will shortly not be worth the cover price!

Still, that is lame.

Re: Box-O-Comics

Postby Midas » Tue Mar 19, 2013 12:42 pm

Here's my order. This month and next month are both brutal for me and my meager budget (which will be exceeded in both months due to prolific publication of omnibus editions by Marvel and DC. Dave Sim is re-releasing new prints of his Cerebus "phone book" archives and I was trying to collect them but will have to put that on hold. I'm already way over budget. Sorry starving, eccentric comic book creator--you'll get none of my money for a few months... Also had to pass on the new Faith Erin Hicks GN for budgetary reasons (and also because I'm reading it online). While I'm also reading Astronaut Academy online, the author sent me a cool signed cover proof so he's earned my sale.

ANIMAL MAN OMNIBUS HC (MR) *Special Discount*
MIGHTY THOR OMNIBUS HC VOL 02 DM VAR KIRBY ED *Special Discount*
SUPERMAG GN (C: 0-0-1)
ASTRONAUT ACADEMY RE ENTRY GN
WALT DISNEY DONALD DUCK HC VOL 01 CASTLES SECRET (C: 1-1-2)
HARBINGER WARS (VU) #2 (OF 4) REG HENRY
HARBINGER (VU) #12 HARBINGER WARS REG REEDER
BLOODSHOT (VU) #11 HARBINGER WARS REG ANDRASOFSZKY
ARCHER & ARMSTRONG (VU) #0 REG HENRY
SHADOWMAN (VU) #0 REG JOHNSON
X-O MANOWAR (VU) #13 (PD) REG HAIRSINE
VALIANT MASTERS SHADOWMAN HC VOL 01 SPIRITS WITHIN

Don't get me started on next month. All I keep seeing is Trekker Omnibus, Nexus Omnibus, Battlepug Vol 2, Superman Silver Age Strips Vol 1 HC, and Outlaw Territory Vol 3. (Didn't mention Silver Age Titans Archives Vol 2 since I used Amazon gift card for that so its only costing me $21.)

And for some reason, the only one that's actually available on Amazon is Battlepug. I'm shocked the others aren't there yet.

Amazon finally started charging state taxes for me, so they just became an effectively much less affordable option. Also, DCBS has been doing a great job of putting most of my favorite stuff on 50% discount (thank you for the Valiant Bundle--never stop that one!).

The Nexus Omnibus will be on my pull list next month too. Fortunately, that's a relatively affordable one. The Sandman Omnibus will kill my budget and keep me from getting the Busiek Iron Man Omni. Other awesome things next month will include Francisco Franciavilla's Black Beetle from Dark Horse, Brandon Grahm's Prophet TP vol 2 (great, great comic here folks) and the new Mouse Guard HC from David Peterson/Archaia.

Not to mention a new Saga TP and a new Walking Dead TP.

Yeah, I've got tax charges on Amazon now too. Not happy either.
