Von Ryan's Express is still pretty decent.

Every remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers gets worse and worse.

And lets not even think about The Stepford Wives. Bette Midler is usually good, but she's no Paula Prentiss. :smt011

I don't post very often, but can one of you folks mention Planet of the Apes as an awful remake, so I don't have to come in here later and mention it. Thanks.

It was already mentioned by Amoebas or I would have brought it up.

Did anyone like Jason Statham's remake of Charles Bronson's Mechanic? I heard mixed reviews about it.

If we're allowed to include remakes of TV shows then I could not agree more.

Pink Panther (Steve Martin ones)

I've not seen them but I know this is also correct.

Total Recall

Again, I've not seen this, again, I know this is also correct.

I love the modern Ocean's 11.

I watched Planet of the Apes because I knew it would be a train wreck.

I'd rather drink bleach, piss it out and drink it again than watch the Psycho remake.

How 'bout Clash of the Titans and Conan?
Haven't seen them but have heard nothing but bad things.

First off...

:P

The '95 remake had Gabrielle Anwar in it and nude so props that are some good positives.

The American Godzilla!
Deathrace
The Vanishing a terrible remake from the director of the fantastic original.

The best remakes are Ocean's 11, the 70s Body Snatchers, Carpenter's the Thing, the Fly, The Magnificent Seven, the Birdcage, and My Bloody Valentine.

The later film is probably the only horror remake I enjoyed more than the original. There's a nice quirky goofy fun to the original but this one had some nice 3D, great kills, went off in it's own tangent than the original, and a great supporting cast (Tom Atkins for the win). It's just good though I nice waste of an hour and a half. It's not spectacular but it's better than other horror remakes.

I just remembered the one horrific abomination that should always be mentioned in a thread like this:
