Nightfly recently questioned Katheryn Winnick about tonight's series premiere of Vikings on the History Channel airing @ 10/9c.
Lovely Martial Artist, Model, TV and Film star Katheryn Winnick took press questions last week to promote the History Channel's first original scripted drama, Vikings.
In an entertaining conference-call I asked multiple questions inspiring Katheryn's confession that she wore a rented Viking costume to her initial screen test, that series star Travis Fimmel (a.k.a. Ragnar Lothrok) put a rooster and some hay in a castmate's car as a prank and that her favorite scene from Season One involved her character and Ragnar beating each other up in a flirty 7th century lovers' quarrel.
Learn more about her remarkable martial arts background, the authenticity series creator Michael Hirst infused into Vikings and how filming on remote Irish locations helped the cast get in touch with their characters by reading my full Q&A with Katheryn at TV Over Mind (here). Make sure to also follow Katheryn Winnick and Vikings on twitter to stay in the loop and don't miss the stunning series premiere of Vikings tonight @ 10/9c on the History Channel. You won't be disappointed.

I've been waiting for this show since I first saw the ads months ago. Hopefully it's as interesting as it looks.

This is a drama produced by History? That's interesting. And Amy said she wants to watch this, marking the first time ever she has wanted to watch something on the history channel.

I LOVE BLUD BLOOD! - Rob Liefeld
some idiot on facebook wrote:I don't like your belittling tone, Jude. Just because I don't know how to spell the language of some tiny African nation doesn't mean that I'm wrong in thinking that your attitude towards women is 100% wrong. Obviously, you're some skinny, single nerd living on the East Coast who probably derives value in life from wrestling matches, hoping that Wolverine gets to sleep with teenagers and engaging in casual drug use. You're literally the worst thing to happen to comics since Stan Lee.

I wasn't sure what to expect going in but I was very pleasantly surprised.
I think fans of shows like Game of Thrones or Spartacus will find things to like in Vikings. Although it's not evident in the very first episode, Gabriel Byrne is as villainous in this role as he's ever been (which is saying something since he's played The Devil).
I dug seeing the efx notation "add gore" in some of the unfinished scenes. haha. There's definitely enough combat in the first handful of episodes to satisfy my lust for action 'n bloodshed.

I'm really looking forward to this.
I'm Norwegian and my grandfather used to tell me crazy viking stories all the time when I was a kid.

Will it have dragons?
Haven't watched it yet but I did record it. Had just heard of it a couple of days before the first episode.
