Yeah Rise of the Guardians was fairly mediocre (like most dreamworks fare) still sad to see people lose their jobs.

There was some some very well done and technically great stuff in RotG... but it lacked something. Heart or something similar.

Visually I thought it was good, but you're right it missed that one element that could have made it great.

They've hit some out of the park to be sure, but by and large I feel like their movies don't appeal to adult audiences the same way Pixar's do.

Dane Cook to Lead Voice Cast of Disney's Planes

Two and a Half Men star Jon Cryer was originally cast as Dusty. Cryer had already done press for Planes, including an appearance at D23 in August 2011 where he recounted his experiences in the recording booth of about 10 sessions over a two-year period.

The movie, originally intended as a direct-to-video spinoff of Pixar's Cars, opens theatrically August 9 via not Pixar but Disney's Disneytoon Studios banner.

Popeye The Sailor - Warner Archive is Planning an MOD Release of '1960s Classics, Vol. 1'
Warner Home Video has released many Popeye cartoons on DVD in the past, but now we're told by good sources that the Warner Archive Collection is about to release episodes of the 1960's television show Popeye the Sailor as a manufacture on demand (MOD) release tentatively titled '1960s Classics, Vol. 1. The studio hasn't formally announced the title yet, however, so there's no release date, price, contents or packaging at this point in time.

Really liked the First Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs, but this sequel doesn't look very good.

I never heard of this cartoon but saw a lot of people buying it when I picked up Wreck-It Ralph yesterday.

So for anyone who might have kids I guess...
